We are proud of the way we have helped companies transform the way they work. Here are a few of our success stories.

EdisonSouthern California Edison: Implements PrinteGration Process
In mid of 2002, Southern California Edison (SCE) was faced with the challenge of replacing a fleet of approximately 700 aging analog copiers. With the recent development and transition of Copiers into Digital Multi-Functional Networked devices, SCE realized that this task would mean much more than a like for like replacement.

After 12 months of analysis, SCE awarded the implementation of this project to MWB Business Systems through its PrinteGration TM process to acquire, install, implement, and service over 900 new Sharp multi-functional devices.

As a result of the success of this project, SCE renewed their contract with MWB for an additional 4 years. MWB and SCE continue to partner in bringing new and emerging technologies to the SCE Workforce.

UTAUnited Talent Agency: Streamlined Document Production
United Talent Agency is the 4th-largest talent agency in the U.S. At the time of the PrinteGration™ Workflow Analysis, United Talent Agency’s proprietary software system was very slow. United Talent’s print hardware and script library were limited, while printing hundreds of scripts a day led to monthly print totals of over a million pages.

Equipment was failing, and new equipment solutions were limited due to the proprietary nature of the software. First, MWB replaced the old proprietary software with newer, more open software that streamlined document processing. During this process, MWB converted 70,000 proprietary files from proprietary software to the non-proprietary Liberty-format software. Next, MWB hired personnel to revamp the agency’s entire script library to automate document processing, reducing the man-hours required for some applications to a tenth of their original time requirements.

In the end, MWB’s solution generated a 133% increase in productivity and generated monthly savings of $6,500.

MetrocitiesMetrocities Mortgage: Implemented Total Fleet Management
Founded in 1989 with five employees, Metrocities Mortgage takes pride in generating $100 million in funding their inaugural year. Today, the company has grown to over 950 employees nationally and closed over $4.6 billion in revenue by 2003.

Because of this tremendous growth, along with an increase in administrative document volume, managing this process was taxing the Information Technology Department’s resources. MWB Business Systems entered into a partnership agreement with Metrocities to install, implement, and manage all document production devices and services at the California Corporate Office, resulting in increased employee productivity. The MWB solution also provided a 28% reduction in operational expenses.

Partnering with MWB has created a single point of contact for all of Metrocities’ printing and copying needs. From a billing perspective, MWB provides one invoice for all of the installed printers and copiers. Overall, MWB was able to significantly reduce the amount of time Metrocities invested in managing document production.

“MWB is like an employee that is not on the direct payroll…they are a true asset to Metrocities Mortgage.” - Ken Kaufman, CFO, Metrocities Mortgage
